This car registered as JPX 907D, started life as a 131 but has been converted by Ruddspeed from new. The conversion included the VDO instrument panel, remote gearshift from P1800 including overdrive, the engine has a Ruddspeed plaque on it but as yet we don’t know the exact modifications which were carried out. It has been lowered and has widened non vented wheels. The engine has the inlet manifold for SU carbs.

The car is basically as found by the previous owner Andy Rowlings friend in 1998. It was in a lockup garage having been put away by the previous owner who bought the car in 1985, but it had been dry stored since 1988. So its been stored for the best part of 35 years and was only the road for 22 years prior to that. The original colour is Graphite Grey with red/black mottled interior. At some stage a 123GT steering wheel has been fitted.

We think that the only Ruddspeed modifications not on this car are the weber carbs and wire possibly period wheels. The speedo shows 5561 miles, this may be 105561, we won’t know until the car is taken apart to be restored. The car is now back in dry storage, but will be restored to it’s former glory in 2024.
