1963 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint
We found this listed on Facebook Marketplace for sale and had to buy it. It´s Ruddspeed converted to RHD Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint. As you can see from the photos it a bit of a project car and without any paperwork. The seller Giles Howell mentioned his dad rescued it from a scrapyard in Wiltshire back in the 70´s and its been dry stored with them ever since. The registration is PTE 75, fingers crossed we can keep this when we get the paperwork renewed. We know it´s a 1963 because the chassis number is AR-822212 and we just had the Museo Storico Alfa confirm the vehicle details:
Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint (106.02)
Production date: 1963, May 7th
Delivery date: 1963, May 9th
Market destination: Sussex (United Kingdom)
Exterior Color: Bianco Antico
Note: Carrozzeria - USA
Antique White is the colour, no mention of the blue interior. ´Body - USA´means it was US spec, different gauges (mph not km), bumper overriders and white indicators. The mention of delivery to Sussex would have been to Ken Rudd’s premises.
Ruddspeed Serial Number: 168RD
We would love to hear from anyone has more information on the car or would like to add to the history please feel free to contact us here at Ruddspeed.
