1962 Alfa Romeo Spider

We were contacted by Tom Bruynel, who was a past president of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of New Zealand, and the managing editor/lead writer for the book Half Century, Full Throttle published in 2024 to mark the club’s 50th anniversary. He told us about a 1962 Spider Convertible that had been imported into New Zealand by Ted Jarvis (Ohau Wreckers) in 1972, and a previous owner being the Sherriff of Stafford, UK.
It is a Ruddspeed RHD conversion. Originally painted white and first New Zealand registration GJ 7638.  Around 1982 it was bought by Ray and Deborah Disher of Levin. Bought by Mike Apthorp in 1984, restored by him, painted deep red and extensively used around New Zealand, also raced at Pukekohe.

Ruddspeed Serial Number: N/A
